New Athlete Requirement
Athletes new to AMP (and to gym training in general) must complete our AMP Intro Program — three private training sessions designed to teach:
Core movement patterns: hip hinge, jumping & landing, squat, deadlift, overhead pressing
Use of training implements: barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, landmines, etc.
Gym etiquette and safety fundamentals
Athletes with prior lifting and training experience may skip the AMP Intro if they can physically demonstrate proper technique and understanding of the above movements and equipment.
Level 1 is all about building strong foundations. We focus on developing a wide range of motor skills and helping young athletes feel confident in a training environment.
Athletes learn and practice essential movement patterns: jumping, sprinting, squatting, hip hinging, lunging, and maintaining proper core and postural control, while also taking part in fun, aerobic activities.
Our goal at this stage is to give athletes the skills, strength, and confidence they need to progress to Level 2, all in a safe, supportive, and engaging setting.
Level 2 focuses on building strength, speed, and stamina while helping athletes adapt to the physical changes that come with growth.
Training emphasizes posture, lifting technique, and strengthening underused muscle groups to support healthy development. Workouts become more structured, introducing anaerobic conditioning and formal strength training.
Athletes learn to train safely and effectively with barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls, kettlebells, and bands, while continuing to advance their sprinting, power, and overall conditioning.
Level 3 is designed for athletes who have already built a strong training foundation, whether through AMP Levels 1 and 2 or equivalent experience. With that base in place, it’s time to introduce more advanced methods to keep driving athletic development forward.
At this stage, athletes are expected to demonstrate proficiency in sprinting, jumping, and all key upper and lower body movement patterns during resistance training. Sessions focus on refining sport-specific strength, maximizing explosive power, and enhancing injury resilience.
Training is tailored to help athletes reach the next level, developing a bigger, faster, stronger, and healthier body that can perform under the demands of their sport.
